"Električni orgazam" osnovan je u siječnju 1980. godine u birtiji Mornar", na otkačenu ideju Gojkovića, Đukića i gitariste Joveca, da izmisle jednokratnu predgrupu za koncert vlastitog benda "Hipnotisano pile".
"Posle smo shvatili da je obrnuto, da je 'Električni orgazam' naš glavni bend, a da se 'Hipnotisano pile' raspada. Nije ništa upućivalo da će to biti nešto važno, pogotovo ne te prve večeri kada nismo imali ništa osim imena", prisjeća se Gojković.

Kao takav band postoji i danas, 30 godina nakon ad-hoc osnivanja !

David Sylvian je trebao biti pjevač jedne od inkarnacija King Crimson!

Belew's vocals are known for their distinct, sometimes manic feel - his singing voice is often compared to that of Talking Heads singer David Byrne. Robert Fripp considered David Sylvian for a new incarnation of King Crimson in the early 1990s, but Sylvian declined the offer. Thus, Belew has been their lead vocalist for every incarnation since 1981, and Crimson has used Belew's studio outside Mt. Juliet, Tennessee for rehearsals and recording since 2000.

Ono što me iznenadilo u biografiji Gang of 4 je to, da je upravo producent solo albuma frontmana Inxsa bio Andy Gill (gitarist "četvorke"). Još frapantnije: Gill i žena mu bili su bliski obiteljski prijatelji s Hutchenceom i P.Yates

The band's name was changed to Simple Minds, which was taken from a line in the David Bowie song "Jean Genie": "...so simple-minded, he can't drive his module

Johnny Marr (The Smiths) is/was a professor of music at Salford University in Manchester, England.Matt Johnson wanted Johnny Marr to be in the original line-up of The The in the early '80s, but it didn't work out that way, obviously. They would eventually work together on 1989's Mind Bomb and 1992's Dusk

Peter Murphy modeled in a famous Maxell cassette ad in the early '80s, which showed the profile a man sitting in a chair, being 'blown away' by the sound coming from his stereo (UK version only, the U.S. ad used a different model)

Bryan Ferry and Billy Idol were first approached to sing "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by songwriter Keith Forsey. Both declined, and Simple Minds initially declined to record the song, but A&M convinced them to change their minds. Jim Kerr always thought the lyrics were too pedestrian and trite for the Minds, and the band refused to allow the song onto their upcoming studio album (Once Upon A Time).

Classix Nouveaux formed when Poly Styrene from the punk band X-Ray Spex decided to go off on her own and pursue a solo career. The rest of the members of the band then put out an ad for a vocalist in the (I believe it was) Melody Maker. Sal Solo answered that ad and summarily became a part of the newly formed group, which soon changed styles to a more New Romantic one. Later on (in '84), when Sal felt very strained and stressed out, Kajagoogoo's bassist Nick Beggs, who was a born-again Christian, took Sal on a pilgrimage to Italy, where they stopped at the shrine of San Damiano. Obviously that became the inspiration for the song of the same name. Now Sal lives in a suburb of Chicago and is involved with music ministry with Catholic youth groups throughout the world. When he goes to Poland, where Classix Nouveaux were once rock megastars, he still gets adults approaching him and asking him about his CN days.

"Singl je snimljen u isto vrijeme kad i album, i to je trebao biti singl s dvostrukom A stranom (tada je to postojalo kao diskografski vinilni format), a na njemu je bila pjesma Bes u izvornom obliku, zajedno sa još jednom bivšom Limunovo drvo-pjesmom Prevaren, energicnim šaljivim pop hitom, koji bi tada sigurno svi voljeli na radiju. Napravio sam bio i lijep omot za singl, no Jugoton taj singl nikad nije realizirao, a Šarlo se kroz par mjeseci raspao."
